Self Portrait

This is a self portrait I recently finished. It is acrylic on canvas. The first couple layers I simply poured paint, covering the canvas. At first the painting was psychedelic colors, but I then decided to use skin tones, yellows, and golds for a more simple look. This is one of my first attempts at a self portrait. I apologize for the poor lighting, the image is taken with a cell phone camera seeing as mine is currently lacking batteries.

Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog

This webseries was created by the Mastermind Joss Whedon, creator of the popular television series Buffy the Vampire, Angel, and Firefly. In it, Neil Patrick Harris (from the television series How I Met Your Mother) attempts to obtain membership to the elite Evil League of Evil via “horrible” acts, including the use of a freeze ray.

Since the untimely ending of the series Firefly and the subsequent film, Serenity, fans crave more from the main character, Nathan Fillion, and finally got it. Fillion and NPH work well on screen to produce a complex, comedic tragedy.

Invest some time in watching this Shakespearean-esque webseries, you won’t be disappointed.

The featured song is On The Rise, perhaps the best song featured in the musical webseries.
